I want to talk to you about a game-changing book that I stumbled upon — “Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less” by Greg McKeown.

This book shook up my whole approach to life and work, and I’m here to share the wisdom I found between its pages, using simple everyday words.

I was juggling a hundred things at once, constantly busy but never feeling like I was making real progress. It was like I was running on a treadmill that never stopped. Then, one day, I came across “Essentialism,” and it was like a breath of fresh air.

The book’s core idea is pretty straightforward:

Do less, but do it better.

It challenges the idea that we have to be busy all the time to be successful. Here’s what I learned:

1. The Power of Less:

“Essentialism” taught me that doing fewer things but doing them well is the key to success. It’s about focusing on what truly matters and cutting out the noise.

2. The Joy of Saying No:

One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning to say no. McKeown emphasizes that it’s okay to decline opportunities or requests that don’t align with your goals.

Saying no is a way of protecting your time and energy for what’s essential.
